Reading: Novel Study Hatchet
Team Task: 2-4/group


Being stranded and fending for his life changed Brian.  This harsh experience taught Brian a variety of coping strategies that anyone can use as support in the face of a daunting life challenge.  Discuss how self-motivation, self-confidence, organization, creativity (out-of-the-box thinking), and mindfulness (staying in the present, no racing negative thoughts) can help anyone deal with and overcome a challenge/obstacle in their life.
