Health: Our Sugar Consumption
Working collaboratively with a partner, select any 5 bottled, bagged, boxed or canned foods and/or beverages you regularly consume on a weekly basis.  Cut or photograph its Nutrition Facts table from the packaging.  Determine how much you consume of each product (volume: gr, kg, ml, L, cups).  Determine how much sugar is contained in each quantity you eat (4gr sugar = 1 teaspoon).  Calculate the total amount of sugar you have consumed from the 5 products.  Are your results surprising? Research what maximum % of sugar is recommended for you and your age group to consume on a daily basis.  Are you exceeding this percentage?  Your team is to decide how you want to display your products, data and reflections.
