Bud is all
about “self-preservation” and being “on the defense”. Being alone on the road with his suitcase, we
learn Bud is bright, resourceful, creative and determined to locate his
father. His life experiences have
already taught him how to “deal” with adults, overcome challenges and get out
of “jams” – he has developed a set of “rules” (life skills) to ensure his survival
through the journey of life and fend for himself.
