Weekend Reminders

• Great participation on the skype with the other school - hopefully it will continue and be a positive learning experience for everyone.
• On Monday, following Instrumental Music & French, we will begin sharing our stained glass window Prezis with the class; have a look at the success criteria on the blog.
• Monday is the very last day that I will accept your novel study task - it was due today and only 20% of the class submitted it.
• On Monday, your math table of congruent/similar triangles will be collected.
• Please ensure that by now you have a copy of the novel and digital editions downloaded on your personal computer so you can continue reading 

Feb 22 Skype Challenge 2: Tessellation

Try you hand at creating the carpet tessellation design in geometer's sketchpad

once you create the first full square (as pictured above) you will need to translate it 3 times following this sequence: 

fixed distance 2-3 so they are exactly side by side
fixed angle 180 degrees

fixed distance 2-3 
fixed angle 90 degrees

fixed distance 2-3
fixed angle 90 degrees
