Hunger Games Writing Task

These are your instructions and success criteria for today's writing task for the hunger games.

Writing Task: The Hunger Games

Goal: 

To relate/draw connections to a text.

Task:

Katniss, the protagonist of The Hunger Games, has been thrown into a challenging situation which was clearly not of her own choosing.  We have seen that she has stepped up to face her challenges, asserted her skills and mustarded up the courage within herself to overcome fear and failure.  Discuss a time when you, a friend, an acquaintance, or any fictional character was forced to face a challenge head-on and find inner strength and self-confidence to fight and overcome it.

Success Criteria:

-use WordQ to help you write coherent sentences;

-1^st paragraph introduce person and their problematic situation;

-2^nd paragraph discuss what person did to conquer challenge;

-3^rd paragraph discuss what lesson anyone can learn from this.
