CLASS MAGAZINE GOOGLE DOCS

Despite my feedback for revisions and edits, I do not see much content change on our class magazine.  This is a writing/media literacy assignment for all.  I kindly ask contribution from everyone, not less than 25% of the class.  Contributions can be made from anywhere at anytime.

Upcoming Education Week

  • Public Speaking: we are continuing to explore possible speech topics in a writing team; we are brainstorming topics that would engage the interest of our audience of 9 to 12 year olds; we are considering topics that are trending, current, and include different viewpoints; we are expressing our personal thoughts and/or feelings with supporting reasons and looking to persuade our audience to our way of thinking.

  • Science Fair: we are beginning to explore possible topics within the strands of either Structures or Matter; we are following the Scientific Method (context, purpose, hypothesis, materials, observations, analysis, conclusion) to conduct an experiment, showcase results, and construct new learning; a traditional folding display board can be replaced with a laptop PowerPoint, Prezi, Emaze, GoogleSlides, MovieMaker or iMovie along with a model that you can speak to the visiting judges about.
