Geography: Movement prezi (text, pics w/captions, video)

Your guiding questions:

• what exactly is moving? 
• is it natural or human?
• can you map it?
• what's causing the movement?
• what effect is the movement having?

possible topics to explore in a group of 3:

electronic/digital movement via satellite i.e. communication/collaboration of ideas (prezi, netmeeting), e-mail/instant messaging (gmail, blogger, what's app), buying & selling of produts online (ebay, amazon), electronic transfer of money internationally (paypal), online banking (withdraw, deposit, transfer of funds)

transportation of products (commodities) we use on a daily basis i.e. food, clothing, furnishings via cargo ship, truck, train, plane; environmental impacts

movement of people i.e. how we commute (for work, pleasure, to shop) how we rely on access to highways, public transit (bus/subway/streetcar), airports, trains, car, bike vs another city; environmental impacts

moving air: different types of wind (chinook, corrado, scirocco) that change landforms i.e. desert; formation of tornados/hurricanes

moving water: causing land erosion, gravitational pull on tides

causes/effects of landslides/mudslides

movement of glacier, climate change melting

2 major volcanic eruptions around the world & their impact

effect of heat expansion/cold contraction on land

2 major earthquakes/tsunamis around the world & their impact
